Web Design Across Louisville’s Neighborhoods

Louisville isn't one market. Which district you're in changes who you compete with on Google, and that changes how the site gets built.

Why The District Matters To Google

Three things decide who you show up against in local search, and two of them are geography.

The first is the address on your Google Business Profile. If it says St. Matthews, that's the city Google files you under, and St. Matthews is a separate incorporated city from Louisville. Same for Lyndon, Middletown, and Prospect.

The second is what customers actually type. People searching Bardstown Road restaurants don't type "Louisville." They type the neighborhood, or they search "near me" from a phone that already knows they're standing in the Highlands.

The third is competitive density, and it swings hard across a few miles. A coffee shop in NuLu is fighting a dozen others inside a half mile. A coffee shop in Middletown might be fighting two.

That's the whole reason this page exists instead of one flat page that says "Louisville" nine times. What follows is where each district sits and what it changes about the work.

Questions About Working With Neighborhood Businesses

Do you actually come out to the neighborhoods?

Yes. Coffee on Frankfort Avenue, a tasting room in Butchertown, Brown Park in St. Matthews if the weather is good — seeing your space usually makes the site better. If it is easier, everything can also happen over text and email.

How much does a website cost for a neighborhood business?

Same pricing everywhere in the metro. Setup starts at $2,500 for a custom website with $399/month hosting that includes updates and support. No location surcharges. Full details on my pricing page.

I run a brewery, distillery, or gallery. Can you handle that?

Tap lists you can update yourself, tour and tasting bookings, artist portfolios, show calendars — the specialty features these businesses actually need are exactly the kind of build I do. That is half of what makes Germantown, Butchertown, and NuLu fun to work in.

What if my business is not in one of these neighborhoods?

I cover the whole metro. Check the full service area, or just call — if you are in or around Louisville, you are local enough.

Outside the urban core? I work across the metro and beyond.
