Lexington Runs on Small Businesses. Most of Them Don't Have Websites.
Walk down Euclid Avenue through Chevy Chase and you'll pass a dozen businesses that live on word-of-mouth alone. Same story along Woodland Avenue, the shops off Clay Avenue, and the newer spots in Hamburg Pavilion. Lexington has over 171,000 people working in Fayette County, and the businesses they work at — restaurants near Rupp Arena, dental offices off Nicholasville Road, contractors serving everything inside New Circle Road — are competing for the same local searches.
I'm based in Louisville, about 75 minutes east on I-64. Most of my work happens over phone calls and texts anyway, so distance doesn't change anything. But if you want to meet in person, I'll make the drive — I've done it plenty of times for businesses across Fayette County, from downtown near Greyline Station to the offices along Man o' War Boulevard.
