Free rides to VA and medical appointments, help sorting benefits paperwork, and coffee every Thursday. Run by Louisville veterans and the neighbors who drive them.
Our Mission
Neighbors helping veterans
Mile Marker started with one Navy veteran, one minivan and a neighbor who kept missing appointments. Now volunteer drivers cover most of Jefferson County.
Everything we do is free. Gifts from neighbors, churches and local businesses pay for gas, insurance and coffee.
Rides
Door-to-door rides to VA clinics, hospitals and pharmacy pickups. Book two business days ahead.
Paperwork help
Bring your mail and your questions. We help you sort the forms and connect you with an accredited representative for any claim.
Coffee on Thursdays
Coffee, donuts and an hour with people who've been there. No sign-up.
What We Do
How we help
Three programs. All free, all run by volunteers.
Rides to appointments
Call or text by 2 pm, two business days ahead. A volunteer picks you up, waits with you and drives you home.

Paperwork nights
Second and fourth Tuesdays, 5:30 to 7:30. Bring your mail. We'll help you read it, sort it and make the right call.

The driver hub
Drivers sign in to see open rides, claim one and get the pickup details the night before. Riders get a text when their driver is on the way.

One morning a month
Give one morning a month. Use your own car, and we pay you back for gas.

Monthly gifts keep the tank full and the coffee hot.
