37 Years of Louisville Mornings
My husband Stan and I opened Derby City Diner in 1987 with a simple idea: make the kind of food we'd want to eat, at prices working folks could afford, served by people who actually care if you're having a good day.
Stan ran the kitchen until he passed in 2019. Now our daughter Sarah's back there, making the same hash browns he perfected. Same recipe, same griddle, same love.
Some of our regulars have been coming since the Reagan administration. Their kids grew up in these booths. Now their grandkids are learning about Benedictine spread and why the Cards are better than the Cats.
See you at the counter, hon. - Barb
